Network for Human and Social Development began work on the peacock sanctuary in Mithrio Charan and Mithrio Suttar, two villages of subdistrict Chachro, District Tharparkar in Sindh Pakistan. This peacock sanctuary is meant as a safe-zone for the Indian peafowl population, many of which are impacted because of poachers, disasters, and impacts caused by climate change – most recently, the floods of 2022-2023 which had eradicated many houses in the area.
This is an ongoing Global Giving project and more information about it can be accessed here.
